Light Face Oil
Safflower seed oil - high linoleic/non pore clogging:
Amongst the oldest cultivated plants and contains the highest level of linoleic fatty acid available commercially. Not only is it a wonder oil that fights against problematic skin but is also capable of moisturising even the driest of skins. Its properties counteract and prevent inflammation and softens and improves the texture of the skin.
Watermelon seed oil - high linoleic/non pore clogging:
Absorbs beautifully and nourishes the skin. This potent antioxidant/anti-inflammatory oil can be used on the most delicate of skins; aiding in the repair of psoriasis, rosacea, eczema and acne prone skins.
Prickly pear - high linoliec/non pore clogging:
My personal favourite. Prickly pear contains more tocopherol (Vit E) than almost all oils available and most interestingly has 150% more tocopherol than argan oil. Vitamin E is a natural powerful antioxidant that offers protection from external agressors (free radicals) and increases cell renewal. It also contributes towards fading marks left by blemishes. This nourishing oil has the highest level of betalains: these are super antioxidants which work their magic at fighting against ageing to help support collagen production, brighten skin tone, hydrate and is super beneficial against inflammation. The vitamin K present helps to improve spider veins and dark circles under the eyes.
Passion flower seed oil -high linoleic/non pore clogging:
This light moisterising oil contains a great source of vitamin A, C and nutrients which in turn help protect the skin from environmental stressors. It is excellent for soothing itchy, dry and sun exposed skin.
Hemp seed oil -high linoleic/non pore clogging:
Incredibly nourishing and a powerful antioxidant. Hemp oil is nutriitious, rich in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and essential fatty acids. Not only does it provide the skin with long lasting moisture but it also has the ability to calm and balance skins.
Argan kernel oil - non pore clogging:
A non irritating, soothing oil that is especially reparative and helps towards restoring elasticity. Argan will not exacerbate skin conditions; it has the ability to regulate, heal and rejuvenate all kinds of skin ailments.
Neroli essential oil:
The most beautiful of all essential oils (to my nose). It was inevitable that I’d use this wonderful aromatic oil in my formulation; with its fresh floral/ orangey fragrance with a slight bitter undertone. Not only is Neroli rejuvenating and regenerative but it is also ideal for blemish prone skins due to is anti bacterial, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties.
Frankincense essential oil:
A beautifully calming oriental oil with a woody, smoky, sweet scent and is suitable for all skin types, especially ageing and mature skin - so if you’re a wrinkle phobic this may be the essential oil for you. Frankincense speeds up the process of healthy skin cell growth (cytophylactic) and is astringent so helps towards toning the skin.
