Is there any better way to unwind and pamper yourself than having a luxuriously indulgent bath?  For me, nothing else quite compares.  That moment when the bath oils, salts or bubbles hit the hot water and fills the house with heavenly aromatic scents; just describing this makes my shoulders relax and breathe deeper.

My love for baths and all the delicious products that accompany a true bath time ritual started at an early age.  It was the perfect time to escape the world and allowed for uninterrupted thoughts.  These days however I focus on true relaxation and mindfulness, oh and a good old body scrub!

Most recently I've become accustomed to a full body 'dry brushing' routine before hopping into the bath, I'm finding this especially efficient at tackling the dreaded cellulite on troublesome areas like the bottom and thighs.  What can I say, I'm a result driven girl!  Into the bath I go then out comes the big guns.......my exfoliating gloves; this is my preferred metho...

Plié Treatment cleanser by Jordan Samuel.  I was gifted this cleanser by a good friend in America, thank you @.......... It's something that I was desperate to get my hands on after reading such positive and raving reviews.  Now, I have to be honest, when I initially felt the texture I was a little apprehensive (actually terrified).  It's balmy.....my skin reacts terribly to balms!!  They either bring me out in sore spots and more often than not contribute to my contact dermatitis, especially on my eye lids.  I know I should do my ingredient homework to get to the bottom of this issue but I'm a lazy girl, so would rather avoid them instead!!

Eventually I took the plunge and gave the cleanser ago; I was feeling particularly brave that day ;).  The texture is denser than I've ever experienced before, almost gel like and the scent is quite delicate and I must say rather lovely.  I often think that the benefits of a product should always outweigh the aroma but I love a...

BABOR SKINOVAGE Intense Balancing Cream

The light fragrance of this intensely hydrating gel-cream transports me to the warmer climates of my Italian getaways.  To me it's summer in a jar;

it has the most unique fresh scent and a texture which is ideal for quenching a thirsty skin after a day in the sun.  I have not as yet booked a holiday but on the off chance I do, I will most certainly be taking this little gem with me to combat against any dehydration.

As per usual I was apprehensive about trying this cream as its generally a little denser/ bouncier in consistency than I'd prefer.  I really feel I'll never escape this irrational fear of heavy creams and serums!!  I'm now wondering if there's an actual phobia 'name'  for it ;).  Oops sorry I digress; easily done as I have the concentration span of a gold fish!

Now back to the Balancing Cream; as the name suggests it really does have intelligent balancing qualities. It super charges my dehydrated areas and reg...

Bella Aura Night Cellular Renewal.

It's becoming an almost impossible task to favour one product in this unique range.  I've yet to personally find a skincare collection that quite compares.  Serums, oils and essences are not a necessary companion for these lightweight serum-creams.  They work efficiently on their own; offering potent, naturally sourced botanical ingredients that feed and nourish the skin.

Yep it's official, I'm loving this range and its ability to transform my stressed and environmentally challenged skin within one application.  It's an ahhh in a bottle and what a bottle!  The Night Cellular Renewal emulsion is housed in a classic glass black bottle; so not only does it's contents perform wonders it also looks beautiful in the bedroom.

My thirsty skin absorbs the Night Cellular Renewal within seconds, leaving it intensely hydrated and without any greasy residue - resulting in a calm, even toned complexion.  It has the lightest texture of all the ran...

The Bella Aura skincare range is something that's intrigued me for quite some time; with its potent natural ingredients that promise to deliver a radiant glow.  We all want a glowing youthful complexion and personally this is my main skin goal.  I want my skin to look energised, healthy and alive.

I received the Essential Energy Boosting Kit which consists of their 5 skincare products; quality not quantity!  I was initially concerned that the 10ml tubes wouldn't last long enough for me to do thorough and fair review; that was until I opened them.  The very smallest amount is needed.  The scent is exquisite...... Neroli; a firm favourite of mine. My most treasured product out of the collection is the Antioxidant Booster emulsion.  Emulsion being the operative word, I have never experienced such a light but powerfully hydrating formula.  My skin felt deeply nourished on the first application; I would never have expected such immediate results from a lightweight serum-in-cream c...

Aww, SBC gels you are my skin savour; with your extensive collection of light, quickly absorbing water based gels that work to deeply hydrate my thirsty skin!!

For many years I exclusively used the Collagen gel as a thick mask but I have more recently discovered and fallen in love with the Propolis and Vitamin E gels.  Each have a distinctive fragrance and slightly differ in texture.

SBC Propolis gel has as you'd expect, a medicinal scent, but nothing too overpowering.  To be honest, I wasn't overly keen on the smell but I've grown to accept it; especially after seeing the results on my skin!  The consistency of this gel is a little denser, I feel it soothes and nurtures the skin a little more than the others.  Its particularly good when my face is feeling tight and sore after long dog walks in the cold British weather.

A tip I've learnt from Instagram's beauty community is to mix both the Collagen and Vitamin E gels together and layer as a thick mask for an intens...

Viliv Cell Defence Serum was developed in Switzerland by practising dermatologist Dr Felix Bertram.  This Serum contains no parabens, mineral oils or colourants.  What it does contain is active, skin friendly ingredients which help to fight against environmental aggressors. One of the key ingredients being stem cells from the Argan tree.  This has been found to work on cell stimulation and preventing fatigue in said stem cells..........I welcome any help I can get with open arms!

This lightly fragranced gel serum is housed in the most fabulous, elegant, minimalistic packaging.

The bold P lettering stands for protection, which is not only fun but helps to distinguish between each Viliv product (the eye Serum has an E!).  I think the light texture and packaging definitely appeal to both men and women.

Now, let's get down to the important factor which is of course the serum itself and the results I've experienced.  Firstly, the texture is sublime, so light (no viscosity) and...

I was asked a question today that made me stop and think about skincare and each of our personal preferences.  It was simply "Why do you spritz before applying products".   The answer to that question is because I've never enjoyed applying moisturisers straight onto a dry skin. It feels too cloying (even the lightest lotion).

It all started when I developed excessively oily, very congested and spot prone skin in my early twenties.  I realised the importance of protecting my skin against the elements especially the sun but absolutely hated the feeling of creams!

I knew the consequences all too well (sore spots) but then I discovered Spritzing!!

Quite revolutionary in 'those days'.  It meant that I used the tiniest amount of product but it spread much further and absorbed into my skin rapidly.......Hey Presto!!  I didn't use sophisticated tonics then, just a simple spritz of water as the industry was full of alcohol ridden toners.

Twenty plus years down the lin...

HOLY GRAIL Hibiscus & Pomegranate Detoxifying Clay Mask

This beautiful berry scented organic mask is bursting with some of the most beneficial anti ageing ingredients in the skincare market.  It outshines your average detoxifying clay mask; to be perfectly honest it's a bit of an insult to even compare the two.  The consistency is much creamier and doesn't 'set' uncomfortably on the skin, even after 30 mins.

On closer inspection I noticed tiny spherical jojoba seeds; not too densely packed but enough to give a light exfoliation.  On application I massaged the mask in circular movements over my face and neck, then I allowed the ingredients to work their magic for 30 minutes.

The Hibiscus in this Holy Grail mask has a slight resurfacing property, supports skin elasticity, and generally energises the skin; thats got to be good thing!! ........But it doesn't end there!!  Pomegranate is anti-ageing (Vitamin C), intensely moisturising and is rich in antioxidants!  Also...

I was recently given the opportunity to try the Babor Algae Active Ampoules.  These particular ampoules work on refreshing and plumping as well as encouraging detoxification by enzymatic activity - promoting a healthy, hydrated skin.  There is a wide selection of ampoules to cater for different skin types and needs.

Each daily dose of serum is housed in individual glass vials; which acts to preserve all the active ingredients.  There's something very satisfying about snapping the glass vial open on an evening after cleansing  (each 7x2ml ampoule box contains a little opening device which allows easy access).

I was initially surprised at the generous amount of serum within each container!  Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining!  I'd rather too much product than too little!  It soon became apparent that this active fluid serum sinks into and nourishes the skin within seconds, with no sticky aftermath.  I was easily able to spread the serum from my hair line to bus...
